Thank You Stormont
Children, young people and their carers spent the day in Stormont where they received a tour of Parliament Buildings and the Assembly Chamber. Huge thanks to our Chairperson, Kelly Armstrong for organising the event and to Stormont for a fantastic day.
Young People Go Cliff Jumping
Young people teamed up with Coasteering NI and spent the day cliff jumping off the coast of Ballintoy. Young people had a great time and lots of fun and laughter was had. For more information on what services are available to young people contact Roisin on 028 71373731.
Vital Signs Workshop
Kinship carers attended a focus group to inform of the needs of the children in their care. Thank you to Sarah from the Community Foundation NI who facilitated the workshop and to all the kinship carers who came along and shared their stories.
Global Film Makers
Young people worked alongside Global Filmmakers to develop a new film on their experience of growing up in kinship care. Young people got involved in a whole range of team building activities and developed new friendships with other young people in a similar position.
