My mum doesn’t look after me because she’s not able to and my dad died 9 years ago. I have good days and bad days, but most of the time I have good days.
I live with my aunt, Ann Marie and she takes care of me. She gets me up in the morning for school and she makes me my breakfast and she comes and watches me play football at the youth club. She helps me with my homework and washes my clothes and takes me places I really like.
Ann Marie is not my mum but she is the only mum that I know and she does all the same things a mum does. She takes me to see my little brother, Paul and we play and go to the cinema. I really like my brother and I get to spend lots of time with him because that’s what brothers do.
Ann Marie spoils me rotten all of the time and at Christmas she got me a dog and I called him Busty. She tells me she loves me every single day and that means a lot because I don’t think I would be as happy as I am if she didn’t love me.
I love Ann Marie as much as she loves me and when I grow up I am going to take care of her the way she has taken care of me.
