Toni Receives Prestigious Princess Diana Award

11 year old Toni Doherty who lost both parent her parents in a car accident 8 years ago received a Diana Award at a special awards ceremony in Stormont.

Toni was recognised as a ‘Courageous Citizen’ and received her Award because of her bravery and sharing with other children her experience of kinship care.

Toni has worked alongside staff and volunteers to organise and run programmes and activities for younger children who are in a similar position as her.

Toni was delighted to receive her award and has made her family and everyone at Kinship Care NI so proud.

Take on a Challenge

Sign up to do something that will stretch you to your limits. Be that a sporting challenge (like a marathon), a walking or biking challenge or something even more adventurous (a skydive?!). Ask your friends and family to sponsor you in aid of Kinship Care NI.

Hold a Fundraising Event

Organise a fundraising event, like a Coffee Morning or a BBQ and invite all your friends and family.

Leave a Legacy

By remembering Kinship Care NI in your Will, you will be leaving behind a legacy that will make a real difference to children and young people in kinship care. You can also specify how you would like your gift to be used.
